Mary Brennan, ASID,CAPS
PRESIDENT, INTERIOR DESIGNER
The environments we create tell the unique and very individual story of you. Nowhere will you find a more custom, detailed, personal approach to interior design.
A brief introduction....
About me... I am an accomplished Interior Designer with 20 years of experience working on a vast and very diverse range of projects, primarily residential interior design, and also including commercial design ranging from lobbies and corporate spaces to medical offices, health clubs and restaurants. Most of my work is focused on residential interior design with a specialty ih construction and renovation projects.
While no two projects (and no two clients!) are ever the same, I always employ the principles of thorough space planning, a solid understanding of construction, and an appreciation of architecture. Together with an uncommon level of detailing, these are the cornerstones of my approach.
This translates into sophisticated, unique residential interiors that enhance our clients' lives and transform their daily experience.
About the studio... M.Brennan Design Associates began in 1998 and has flourished over many years, as it is built upon a steady stream of referrals from happy clients.
Credentials and other tidbits... I have passed the NCIDQ examination (which sets the bar across the interior design industry for expertise and professionalism); CAPS cetification for aging in place and accessible design; along with numerous in-depth studies across the design build spectrum.
A very active and prominent leader in the industry, I am a recent past-President of ASID New Jersey (American Society of Interior Designers), and past Associate Vice President of BANNJ (Builders Association Northern NJ), still currently serving on the board. Additionally, I have taught interior design at the college level for 14 years, and regularly am invited to participate in and lead design seminars and design-build discussions for homeowners and professionals alike.
I've had projects photographed and featured in a variety of design magazines and publications, and have written many articles for both homeowners and other trade professionals.
I graduated at the top of my class in design school, interned (then later worked for) a renown lighting design firm, and continually pursue additional advanced design education as opportunities arise.
I am committed to the difference good design makes in peoples' lives and have many times had the remarkable opportunity to use my gifts to do so for charitable causes, including Katie's House, Zoe's Place, and a number of others.
